On June 25, 2012 Luigi Del Bianco’s great accomplishment as the chief carver on Mount Rushmore was featured on the popular television program, CAKEBOSS. The program will be repeated throughout the season as the episode called “Presidents, Peanut Butter, and Popping In” on The Learning Channel (TLC). Buddy Valastro and his talented crew created a remarkable life-like cake of the world’s best known memorial sculpture. The cake was unveiled in Port Chester, NY where Mayor Dennis Pilla proclaimed “Luigi Del Bianco Day”. Scores of family and friends gathered for the momentous and long overdue occasion! It was a warm sunny afternoon filled with praise, gratitude and love. Thanks to Buddy Valastro and High Noon Entertainment, millions of Americans will now hear the unique story of an artist who came from Italy and used his great talent to help bring an American icon to life.
